Lovely lunch

These past 2 weeks my dad has had a couple of operations on his back, which means we have a patient in our household for a while.

On Friday dad decided he was going to venture out of the house and go for lunch. He still can't walk very far at all,  and when he is its rather slow, and  he can't really sit down too long in one place. Understandable with what he has gone through.

But anyways me and mum were both around so we took him out to one of our favourite local pubs - The Exchequer.

It's a lovely quaint pub. Great food, amazing service and mordern yet traditional decor.

Check this wallpaper out.

In the summer its great to sit out the front and watch the world go by. Its located on a quite country lane so not much traffic at all and it over looks acres of fields. So a beautiful outlook to look at whilst you bask in the sun with a Pimms.

Unfortunatly it wasn't warm enough to sit out there this time. But the inside is just as wonderful.

We had a lovely lunch. I was a bad blogger and totally forgot to take pictures of the food, due to the fact that I couldn't wait to get stuck in.  It was just what dad needed.

This is why I love the English countryside so much. Having a lovely pub just down the road is a must, then London 40mins away. Best of both worlds.
