Short & Sweet

Last night, me, my sister and her boyfriend had a craving for chocolate cornflake cakes. So of we trundled to the kitchen to see if we had the easiest of ingredients, yes to cornflakes but no to chocolate, well to be truthful we did have chocolate but not enough to mine or my sisters guideline, so a quick trip down the road and we are sorted.

As you can see Garfield wasn't joining us on the little trip down the road, as that means him having to move, and just look how comfortable he is :) No he's quite happy for us to get on with it all.

I just love making these choc cornflake cakes, as they are so simple to make and delicious.

All you need is chocolate and a box of cornflakes or rice crispies. Depending on how chocolaty you like them on how much choc you use. We went for 3 bars (the big ones) of galaxy. This also determines how many you want to make when adding your cornflakes or rice crispies.

So quite simply break up all the chocolate, put  boiling water in a sauce pan, place a heat proof bowl over the pan, make sure the water DOESN'T touch the bowl and stir the chocolate until it has all melted.

YUMMY, don't you just want to dip your finger in and have a taste.

I can just eat that, so hard not too......

Once all the chocolaty has melted, add the cornflakes and mix together. I tend to add a bit at a time, then you will have more of a say on how chocolaty you want them and how many you want to make.

Then once your are happy with the quantity, place them into cases and place them in the fridge, then you can determine who hard you want them etc. I like them just like that and once they are fully hard. Basically I like them however they come :)

So presentation isn't my forte but hey they look homemade and that's in vogue, so lets roll with it. They are not there for long anyway.

So I am now off to have mine with a cup of tea.

Go on I know now you are craving for them. You can have them yourselves in a matter of 10mins, go on you know you want too.
